Nick Brüss

Dr. Nick Brüss is a licensed psychotherapist, clinical researcher, trainer, and Certified Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. He is also a certified teacher of both Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) and Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) through the Center for Compassion, Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) at Stanford University School of Medicine. Deeply committed to supporting human growth and healing, Nick specializes in helping people free themselves from suffering, reconnect with their bodies, and engage more fully in meaningful and creative lives.

In addition to his work in mindfulness and compassion-based interventions, Nick is a leader in the field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. He is a clinical supervisor and therapist on the groundbreaking FDA Phase III clinical trial of MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD sponsored by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). He has provided ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) since 2017 and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy since 2013, and is recognized as a pioneer in integrating IFS with psychedelic-assisted treatments. Nick also serves as co-founder and lead clinical trainer at the Psychedelic Coalition for Health (PCH), as a psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy trainer with TheraPsil, and as a long-time volunteer with MAPS’s Zendo Project.

Recognizing the transformative potential of psychedelic medicine, Nick is devoted to advancing science over stigma by offering accurate education, integrative training, and supportive practices that help both clients and clinicians work safely and effectively in this emerging field.
