John Egan

John Egan has worked in the field of substance use disorder treatment since 2009 in a variety of roles, bringing extensive experience as both a clinician and a specialist in experiential group therapy. He is known for his dynamic energy and commitment to fostering meaningful connections, with a particular focus on supporting individuals and families seeking recovery. John graduated from Loyola University in 1998 and earned his master’s in social work from Widener University near Philadelphia, PA.

In 2017, he was recognized by the Caron Foundation as an Unsung Hero in the field of substance use disorder treatment, reflecting his long-standing dedication to this work. John is proud of his own recovery journey and has been sober since 2007, striving to be of maximum service to others in the recovery community. He lives with his wife and two children in Palm Beach County, where he remains deeply involved in local recovery efforts. Outside of his professional life, John enjoys snorkeling, spending time at the beach, cooking, working out, playing with his dog, and following all Philadelphia major sports teams, including the Villanova Wildcats.
