It is with deep sadness that Exchange Events announces the cancellation of GXC Live 2026, scheduled to take place December 6–9, 2026, at MGM Grand Las Vegas.
Exchange Events is a not-for-profit organization shaped by a larger purpose: to support education, advocacy, collaboration, and meaningful connection across the recovery, behavioral health, mental health, trauma, addiction treatment, and wellness communities. This mission is rooted in the legacy of Marty Mann, the belief that recovery deserves visibility, dignity, and collective action, and the commitment of leadership and the Board to create meaningful service for the field.
GXC Live was created as Exchange Events’ flagship gathering, with a clear vision and mission: to bring professionals together across sectors in support of education, advocacy, collaboration, and meaningful connection. From the beginning, GXC Live was more than a conference. It was a mission-led gathering designed to recognize, support, and celebrate the professionals, organizations, advocates, leaders, and communities who dedicate their lives to care.
This decision was not made lightly. In recent years, GXC Live has faced significant external challenges, including the cancellation of the 2024 event due to Hurricane Milton in Orlando, a changing and increasingly competitive conference marketplace, rising costs, and growing financial and operational pressures affecting the care industry and the live events sector more broadly.
In 2026, those pressures intensified. The announcement of a major competing event on the same dates, at GXC’s former Orlando venue, created an additional challenge in an already difficult environment. Despite the best efforts of leadership, the Board, our team, partners, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and supporters, the circumstances facing GXC Live 2026 have made it no longer prudent to proceed with the event in a manner consistent with Exchange Events’ commitment to responsible stewardship and long-
term sustainability.
We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who believed in GXC Live and contributed to its success. To our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, attendees, partners, vendors, volunteers, advisors, and community members: thank you. Your support, trust, encouragement, and participation made GXC Live an extraordinary gathering and an important part of the recovery and behavioral health landscape.
Our priority now is to manage this cancellation with care, professionalism, transparency, and respect.
Registered attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and other affected parties will receive direct communication regarding next steps as the cancellation process moves forward.

While GXC Live will not move forward in its current form, Exchange Events remains deeply committed to its mission of supporting education, advocacy, collaboration, and meaningful connection across the recovery, behavioral health, mental health, trauma, addiction treatment, and wellness communities.
The Global Exchange Conference represented an important chapter in that mission. We are proud of the community that was built, the conversations that were sparked, the partnerships that were formed, and the countless professionals who came together in service of recovery, wellness, and care.
As the needs of the field continue to evolve, so too must the ways we serve it. While this marks the conclusion of GXC Live as currently envisioned, it does not mark the end of Exchange Events’ commitment to the communities we support. We are actively evaluating new opportunities, partnerships, and models that can advance our mission in meaningful and sustainable ways.
We remain grateful for the trust and support of our community and look forward to sharing more about the future as those plans develop.
